The city of
Wasilla intends to purchase three lots, formerly home to an import auto repair shop. The lot will be paved over and turned into a parking lot to help ease the parking constraints for locations such as the nearby
Wasilla Public Library, the Dorothy Page Museum, Teeland's Café, and Meta Rose Square.
There are currently no future plans for the property, so for now, the land will likely be paved for parking this summer, should the City Council decide to purchase the downtown location.
